In 2005, Ed & Kathy Cefalù decided to turn the page in their careers and move into a new direction...
Ed graduated from San Diego State University with a B.S. Degree in Business Administration - Marketing and worked as an Account Executive at an Advertising Agency, while Kathy with a Retail Management background worked as a General Manager at a Jamba Juice Franchise.
Ed studied Massage Therapy & Health Education at the National Holistic Institute (NHI) and is now CA State Certified with the CAMTC. Kathy studied Esthetics, Skin Care & Waxing at the Marinello School of Beauty and became a CA State Licensed Esthetician with the Board of Barbering and Cosmetoglogy.
It was in 2006 that TrioSpa - Massage, Facials & Waxing officially opened its doors.
TrioSpa's original location operated out of a Barn House located in Santa Clara, CA.
In 2009, they moved to a new home and relocated TrioSpa to The Alameda in San Jose, CA.
In 2012, TrioSpa expanded to a second studio and with a Team of over 50 In-Studio & Mobile Massage Therapists & Skin Care Professionals, they became focused on steadily expanding their
Corporate On-Site & Special Events Services.
In 2020, Ed & Kathy extended their operation to also become Trio Wellness Management, LLC - Event Planning & Scheduling Services for the Wellness Industry. This operation specifically handles all working relationships between Wellness Practitioners and Individual Clients & Corporate Accounts. Ed & Kathy still operate TrioSpa independently, working with their own Core Private Clients.
In 2023, the business moved to a new, much improved location to accommodate the need for more space, including a ground floor suite, a dedicated front lobby, with three treatment rooms and more storage areas. Now there is an ability to provide services for more individual clients & Spa Parties.
